Do you guys have a faith statement?
Yes! We, the members of FATE Fellowship, come together as a non-denominational men's ministry non-profit, united in our faith and commitment to becoming Godly men. We believe in the following foundational principles:
1. The Authority of Scripture:
We affirm that the Holy Bible, in its entirety, is the inspired Word of God, authoritative and without error in its original manuscripts. We look to the Bible as our ultimate guide and source of truth in matters of faith and conduct.
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness." - 2 Timothy 3:16
2. The Triune God:
We believe in the one true God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We worship and serve this Triune God who is loving, just, and sovereign over all creation.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." - Matthew 28:19
3. The Person and Work of Jesus Christ:
We affirm that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to heaven. Through faith in Christ, we receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
"For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." - 1 Timothy 2:5
4. Salvation by Grace through Faith:
We believe that salvation is a gift of God's grace, received by faith alone in Jesus Christ. It is not earned through our own efforts or good works.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9
5. The Power of the Holy Spirit:
We recognize the essential role of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, enables us to understand and apply Scripture, empowers us for Christian living, and equips us with spiritual gifts for the building up of the body of Christ.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." - Acts 1:8
6. The Church and Christian Unity:
We acknowledge the universal Church, comprising all believers in Christ, regardless of denominational affiliation. We strive for unity and fellowship among Christians, upholding the essential doctrines of the Christian faith while respecting diversity in non-essential matters.
"I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." - Ephesians 4:1-3
As members of FATE Fellowship, we commit ourselves to living out these beliefs, supporting one another, and encouraging spiritual growth as we journey together in faith, striving to become Godly men for the glory of God and the betterment of our families, communities, and the world.
